Practicing...

Over the past several days we have really been working with Brody and his walking. He does great with Mimi and me but Brody usually just sits down whenever Brad and I team up together. Tonight, he spent about 15 minutes walking back and forth between the two of us. Here are some pictures of the event. FYI...it was super difficult to get pics of Brody as he races toward you. He sort of looks like an ape waving his arms above him.

Off To Midland

This past weekend we flew to Gampaw's and MaeMae's house for a visit. We had great food and much needed relaxation.

We visited the Commemorative Air Force museum and saw lots of WWII memorabilia. Mae Mae, Gampaw and Brody are standing in front of a C-46 Commando named "Tinker Bell." We also saw a B-29 Super Fortress named "FiFi." Brody loved it...sort of. We think he liked hearing his screams in the huge hanger.

Ronin And Brody

Ronin is my parent's German Shepard who they adopted from my sister when she moved to Australia. He is about 100lbs and a gentle giant. Brody loves Shiner and Reagan and we were curious to see what he would think of Ronin.

Ronin was great and patient while Brody was hollering and banging things around.

God Made Dirt

While we were sitting out on the back porch of Gampaw's and MaeMae's we let Brody scoot around. Well, he soon found MaeMae's flower pots. Like the saying goes..."God made dirt and dirt don't hurt."

Scooter Boy

Every evening while I'm making dinner Brody gets tossed into his scooter. Everyone who is present while Brody is movin' around should wear shoes. He runs over toes and slams into your heels. Ouch!

A few weekends ago we went over to Mamaw Drake's to visit and go to dinner. We ate some good Mexican food at Esparzas.

Swimmin' Fools!

For July 4th we went to Papaw's and Mimi's to swim and eat. We've taken Brody swimming at our neighborhood pool but we never took any pictures! Momma got smart this time and took the ones below.

Sleepy Doo

We spent the afternoon of July 4th at Papaw's and Mimi's house for food and fun. After swimming and playing Brody just couldn't handle the excitement anymore. He crashed and burned while Papaw was pushing him in the swing. Oh...this was the only nap he had all afternoon. Yikes!

Papaw and Mimi found an old jumpy horse thing (I can't remember what they are called) and this is Brody's first time on for a ride. He just chilled out while Papaw was bouncing him all around. This face is pretty much all that we got out of him.
