Happy (late) Thanksgiving!

We had two very special Thanksgivings this year. My parents made the trip in from Midland to spend an early Thanksgiving and then Brad, Brody and I went over to the Drake's on Thanksgiving day.

Our little family.
MaeMae, Gampaw and Brody.
Chillin' with Papaw.
Brody not sure of what to think about Thanksgiving food.

Bucket Head

While MaeMae and Gampaw were in town for Thanksgiving Brody started doing a new trick. He has started to put his old Halloween candy bucket on his head and walking around. Of course he can't see and will occasionally take it off to look around. He cracks himself up and starts squealing! I wish I had video of him running into the wall and laughing.

Giddy Up!

The entire Drake family went to La Hacienda for Daddy's 33rd birthday. They had great ponies for the kiddos to ride while waiting for a table.

Zoo Day

Last week, while it was still warm, we took Brody to the Fort Worth zoo. I think I appreciated the animals more than he did.
Daddy and the flamingos.
Brody and his new friend, a male silverback gorilla.
Amy, you all will have to show the Ft. Worth zoo what the real Australian Outback looks like.
The goat took a special interest in Brody!
A momma black bear and her twin cubs.
Brody pointing to some colorful fish.
I'll let you all use your imagination of what the mountain lion was doing. Brody did point it out to us though.

Stick a fork in Brody because he was done!

Future Olympian?

Tonight, Brody was messing around in our closet and managed to find my old swim cap and goggles. He was dragging them all over the place so we thought he'd like to try them on. What better place than in the bath tub? I wonder if competitive swimming is in his future? :)

I think the goggles were a little too tight. Notice his left eye being smashed? He didn't seem to mind though.

Brad thinks Brody looks like a gangster with his skull cap on.

King Of The Table

Brody has learned how to climb up on his table. It's funny to watch him struggle to get up and then slide off again. I guess we shouldn't let him do it but as my mom always says, "Pick your battles."

All hail the king!
